Tinker Bell Inspires PixiGlow Beauty for Target

PixiGlow Collection

Take a look at the new PixiGlow Collection coming to Target.comon January 29th. It's a limited-edition 6-piece beauty line inspired by Disney's Tinker Bell, and includes such fairy-approved cosmetics as a pink shimmer nail polish, forest green eye liner and a flattering face palette. To capture Tink's fresh-faced glow, there's Magic Tink Tint - a gel crayon for lips - and the item I'm most excited about: Fairy Dust! Sure, it's probably just a shimmery body powder (good for skin, eyes or even lips) but it sounds magical, and who couldn't use a little magic in their makeup routine? The PixiGlow Collection ranges in price from $8 - $34 and will hit stores in March.

Off the Rack: January Highlights at Old Navy

Spring has sprung at Old Navy, with new knits in a bevy of bright colors, lightweight sundresses, sandals and yes, even shorts. I'm so not ready for this (and I won't be able to wear these pieces for another 3 months at least). But if you're planning a winter getaway or you live somewhere warm, you're in for a treat. I was getting a Diane von Furstenberg vibe with a lot of the new printed pieces, from tribal to artsy florals. A geometric print faux-wrap dress stood out. Also loving the brightly colored neon-neutral flats and mini crossbody bags, great for everyday. Colorblocking is another returning trend, which looked chic on leather-look tote bags. And if you aren't in the mood for spring clothes just yet, there's colored denim and chunky sweaters still in stock, even some winter coats left on clearance. What catches your eye?

The Fastest Growing Motorcycle Segment is ……?

2011 has been a tough economic year for many but for the motorcycle industry it seems to have turned the corner.  Finally!  Ducati and Triumph recently posted fantastic growth numbers for 2011.  Ducati alone said they had a 43% growth in North America alone.
New motorcycles seems to be flying rolling off showroom floors.  But the most popular motorcycle segment has become Adventure bikes.  Adventure motorcycles are turning into a great all around motorcycle.  BMW had cornered the market for years but now other manufactures have caught wind of the expanding industry and want their fare share.
Kawasaki leads the way in total number of KLR650′s sold with the Suzuki DL650A coming in a solid second.  Triumph is the new comer to the segment introducing some new models and gaining momentum to take over the top spot in the coming years.  The segment has a lot of competition and we hear that Ducati dealers are sold out across the US from Multistrada’s.
So what’s your thoughts?  Do you think Adventure bikes are the best all around bikes on the road?  Let us know in the comment section below

RADICAL YAMAHA XT600

Yamaha XT600 custom
The Yamaha XT600 is one of those iconic enduro bikes that refuses to die—in more ways than one. The virtually bulletproof 595cc single was first released in 1983 and was the first “Ténéré” model, capitalizing on Yamaha’s profile in desert rallies. The early XT600s are still highly sought after, but you won’t find many as desirable as this one. “Dirt Rad” is the latest build from Radical Ducati, and a major departure for the Madrid-based workshop. The “Ducati” part has wisely been dropped from the Radical logo, but this is no second-rate bike: it’s as heavily reworked and thoughtfully upgraded as RD’s sportbikes.

The modified 1989 XT600 frame has been hooked up to a FZR600 fork and a Hagon shock. The air-cooled motor has been rebuilt with polished and ported heads, and now exhales through a Wolfman pipe and a Spark GP megaphone muffler. The wheels are 18”, shod with Pirelli Scorpion tires, and matched to a completely new brake system that includes Ducati S4RS components. The fuel tank is from a 1970 Ducati 250 and the seat is from a Bultaco Pursang. The fenders are hand-made: aluminum at the front, carbon at the back. Rizoma bars sit behind a headlight from a Puch 50cc mini-bike.
Yamaha XT600 custom
“Dirt Rad” won’t be as fast as the bikes that Radical Ducati usually builds. But it’ll probably be just as much fun—a simple, light and speedy machine for city streets and occasional gravel road excursions. Perfecto!

BMW Recalls Six X5 xDrive35i SUVs Because they May Roll Out of Park

In one of the smallest recalls we have ever heard, BMW will be calling in six owners of the 2012 X5 xDrive35i SUV to address a problem with the automatic transmission.
In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Bavarian automaker says that due to a manufacturing error, the automatic transmission’s parking lock may not occur even if the “P” position has been selected and is displayed.
And being that there are one too many drivers of automatic models who don't make use of their parking brake, BMW is afraid that the vehicles could roll away after the driver exits the car.
The X5s involved in the recall were manufactured from December 19 to 21, 2011.
BMW told the NHTSA that its dealers will replace the automatic transmission free of charge on all six X5s.

Scoop: Peugeot Continues Trialing 301 Test Mules

These new spy pictures show a test mule of the Peugeot 308 compact hatchback's replacement being tested in Europe. While the exterior panels of the prototype are from the current 308, underneath it’s a different story as it rides on a new platform with wider front and rear tracks that's shared with the Citroen C4 and DS4 models.
The French firm's new model will likely be named 301, as Peugeot would like to skip the 309 moniker that was used on its 1980s compact hatch.
Like the smaller 208, Peugeot's Golf rival is expected to be both more compact in length and lighter than the model it replaces with obvious benefits in fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions.
The engine lineup will be shared with it's Citroen brethren and will include a number of gasoline and diesel units, while Peugeot also has plans to offer a HYbrid4 diesel-electric hybrid version.
We'll know more about the new 301 and Peugeots future plans on the range in the coming months.

Badass 1971 Corvette C3 Convertible Sports New ZR1 6.2-liter Supercharged V8

Patterned after the "Mako Shark II" concept and produced from 1968 to 1982, the third generation of Chevy's iconic sports car series has by far the most aggressive and over-the-top design of all Corvettes. And at least up unit the 1973 oil crisis, it had the power to match its brawny looks.
But for an owner of a 1971 Corvette Convertible, the stock V8 wasn't enough so he fitted the open-top model with GM's LS9 crate motor, which is the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 found in the most powerful series production Corvette of all time, the ZR1.
GM states that the crate engine delivers 638-horses at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 604 lb.-ft. at 3,800 rpm. The owner of the car said it made 536 rear-wheel-horsepower through an automatic transmission.
The C3 Convertible was built by Fastlane in Houston and also features upgraded brakes and suspension, along with power seats sourced from the ZR1. A cool touch is the ZR1-like window on the hood that allows the intercooler to be viewable from the outside.

New Details Emerge on Fiat's 500L Wagon that will Debut in Geneva and go on Sale in the U.S. in 2013

We had heard earlier this month that Fiat was preparing a new five-door variant of its 500 city car but we didn't know much else about the Italian firm's plans.
Today, Autonews has the inside scoop on the new model reporting that it will allegedly be called 500L with its world premiere to take place at the Geneva Salon in March.
We also learn that while it will keep the 500s familiar face and styling cues, it will be based on the same architecture as the larger Punto to improve passenger and luggage space.
The 500L is said to measure around 4,150mm long (163.4-inches) or about 60mm (2.5-inches) more than the three-door 500 hatchback, while it will also be taller and wider than the original.
In Geneva, we'll see a five-seater version but the report goes on to say that in the following months, Fiat will launch a seven-seater variant with an additional 10mm (0.4-inches) in length (though we reckon this is probably a typo with the author meaning to say 100mm).
The 500L will effectively replace Fiat's aging Idea in the small MPV segment targeting the likes of the Opel Meriva and the upcoming Ford B-Max.
European sales of the 500L are expected to start as early as July while the five-seater model will be offered in the States from 2013. The report indicates that Fiat has no plans to sell the 7-seater variant in the U.S., as it believes American consumers won't buy such a small seven-seater model.
The 500L will be manufactured at the former Zastava site in Kragujevac, Serbia, that Fiat acquired back in 2008.
